Sam.

My wanderlust lifestyle and collection of eclectic photographs from my travels are the source of my inspiration. Everything I see, feel and experience contributes to the depth and fervor of my work. I am constantly traveling, learning and re-inventing myself through my art. I spent five years of college studying around the world. Various universities, artist communities and bars in Spain, Australia and New York molded me into the artist I am today. My continued love of perpetual exploration is easily reflected in my contrasting bodies of work. With richly saturated hues and evocative forms I aim to capture the soul and style of each subject.  My liquid impressionistic brush strokes reflect my free spirited spontaneity- it is deliberate, yet borne out of the moment.

I have turned my inspirations into my business, Badway Creative.  I am mainly profitable through my paintings, however, I work in many mediums- I am a muralist, photographer, yogi, student, designer; the list goes on. This is my passion, my hustle, and my artistic life, to which I am truly dedicated.

-Sam Malpass

Sam's college career was spent in numerous universities, workshops and institutes across the world.

Her five years of intellectual exploration has lead her to live and study extensively in: Spain (University of Salamanca 2009- University of Barcelona 2009-10, Metafora International Artists Workshop 2010), Australia (The National Art School of Australia in Sydney 2011-12), New York City, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute (2012-13).

She has since continued to further educate herself in artist-in-residencies abroad. In 2017 Sam enrolled at Proyecto Ace in Buenos Aires, Argentina to pursue an artist in residency with a focus on Abstract painting.

Through her radiant artwork she expressively and passionately documents her cultural discoveries and acquired knowledge. She has done collaborations with charities and no-profit organizations around the world. In 2012 she helped raise over $21,000 for the Ubuntu Education Fund by partaking in a live painting of Gary Clark Jr.

With her acute interest in interior design, Sam has consistently taken on private painting commissions for lacking spaces in peoples homes. For custom artwork or mural design inquire here.
